How Pets Work in Grow a Garden 2
Pets provide passive and active bonuses that fundamentally change how efficiently you farm. Each pet has unique abilities—some trigger specific mutations, others boost crop value, accelerate growth, or provide utility during night raids.
Pets are obtained through Pet Eggs purchased with Sheckles. Egg rarity determines the pet pool you can hatch from. Higher rarity pets aren't just stronger—they enable mutation combos that turn good farms into billion-Sheckle operations.

Optimal Pet Load outs by Game Phase
Early Game Loadout
Your first pet should be Bee or Sea Turtle. Both are affordable and provide immediate value. Bee's Honey Glazed (5x) or Turtle's Wet (2x) significantly accelerate early Sheckles accumulation.
Mid Game Loadout
Stack multiple mutation-trigger pets. Turtle (Wet 2x) + Bee (Honey 5x) = 10x combined multiplier. Add a third pet that triggers Moonlit or Charred to push even higher. This phase is about mutation diversity.
Late Game God-Tier Loadout
Cockatrice (Gold variant chance) + Lightning Dragon (Shocked 100x) + Butterfly (Rainbow 50x conditional). This combo creates the conditions for 1000x+ multipliers. Add Raccoon if you've got the slot for passive night income.
